Determination of antibodies against rabies in dogs, cats and ferrets
Geographic mobility has increased considerably in recent years, meaning that many pet owners travel with their pets.
The movement of pets is subject to animal health standards to prevent the spread of transmissible diseases to humans or other animals. Each destination country establishes certain conditions* that animals must meet in order to enter the country.
Most require the identification of the animal by means of a clearly legible tattoo or microchip, possession of a passport or a certificate signed by an official or authorised veterinarian and, in many cases, a report certifying the level of Ac against rabies.

Note. The specific Rabies Ab application form with all the animal's data must be completed and sent to the laboratory together with the labelled sample and generic application form.
