Echevarne Foundation
The Institution
The Echevarne Foundation was established in 1993 as a private non-profit organisation with scientific and teaching aims, created by Dr. Fernando Echevarne, founder and President of Laboratorio Echevarne.
The Echevarne Foundation represents a tribute and gratitude to everyone who has worked hard and put effort into making it possible for us to grow and make progress in the field of health sciences
Since it was founded, the Foundation has been able to take part in and develop important programmes within the framework of its founding aims: research and teaching. It creates strong links between basic, clinical and applied research, allowing new technologies to be put into practice every day.
Aims
In accordance with its Statutes, the aims of the Echevarne Foundation are specified as:
The promotion, development and funding of clinical and experimental research studies within the field of health sciences.
The training of professionals in different areas of healthcare.

Activities
Scientific: Working on research projects related to the study of cell biology, hereditary diseases and genetic predisposition to various pathologies.
Supporting different Spanish and international research groups, making Echevarne Laboratory’s national network of laboratories for logistics, transport and sample processing available to them.
Contributing to the recognition and development of quality science by awarding the
Echevarne Foundation National Oncology Award
Teaching: Cooperation with various universities and research centres in the training of professionals in different healthcare areas, with participation in courses, conferences and scientific meetings.
