Toxicology and Bioanalysis

The main activity of the Toxicology and Bioanalysis unit is based on the use of advanced instrumental analysis techniques, such as mass spectrometry coupled to gas chromatography, liquid chromatography and ICP, using methods developed internally.

The areas of work are very varied: from the analysis of biomarkers of occupational exposure to chemical substances, therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM), confirmation of recreational drugs, determination of parameters in anti-ageing panels and tests related to nutrition (analysis of metals, vitamins, W3-W6 fatty acids...).

The unit also has extensive experience working with the pharmaceutical industry performing analytics for the development of drugs in its different clinical phases, both for humans and in the veterinary field.
