Biochemistry - CORE
The main activity of the Biochemistry – CORE of Laboratorio Echevarne unit consists of analysing the most common determinations both in blood (glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides...) and in urine (urinalysis, urinary sediment...), which in many cases provide decisive data to guide the diagnosis of diseases and facilitate their prognosis, control and monitoring.
We also analyse other more specific parameters such as urine screening for recreational drugs, the study of haemoglobinopathies, determining glycosylated haemoglobin (a very important parameter in the follow-up and control of diabetes) or parameters related to oxidative stress.
